Dear members and friends of St Peter’s Lutheran Church, Hobart.
The theme for our prayer breakfast this Saturday morning (5th June) at Pauline's will be ‘Where is God in my praying’? It should be most interesting. We all no doubt have had and observed wonderful answers to prayers (I have seen many in my time in this congregation) but some prayers are not answered in the way we would like. It will be interesting to unpack this and hear various perspectives and to search God’s Word on the matter. The prayer breakfast starts at 7.30am with a study/discussion and then breakfast follows. Pauline's address is {Please go to the contact page to retrieve address}. The Ultimate Exodus: We are up to Revelation 16 in our Thursday evening’s bible study. As plagues preceded the Exodus of God’s people from Egypt under Moses, plagues will also accompany and precede the deliverance or liberation of God’s people from this fallen world into the new heavens and new earth where all will be transformed under king Jesus who will reign over a kingdom of perfect harmony and peace. Even now we are likely seeing emerging signs of the mask under which God will administer these judgements and His urgent call for all to ready themselves. Join us here (also found on our St Peter’s webpage) for tomorrow's 7.30pm (Thursday 3rd June) very stimulating study on a most relevant and very well thought through subject-based as it is on God’s Word to us, His people. For those who have not yet accessed it, last Sunday's Trinity Sunday with the hymns, children's address, sermon and litany were all very well received and appreciated. You can watch it here. Again, pastoral care and home communions are available to all by contacting me (Ph 0417 811 706) or simply reply to this email. Warmest regards and blessings in Christ, Pastor Mike Steicke.
