Dear members and friends of St Peter's Lutheran Church, Hobart. This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to get palm branches from our usual source. If anyone knows of palm branches that could be available, could you please let me (Pastor Mike) know, as displaying them would enhance our worship. Palm Sunday is a joyful celebration of our Lord who comes to his people as King with an underserved offer of eternal peace. Our last Lenten study occurs this Wednesday, 6 April, at 7.30pm. The link is available here and on our St Peter’s website. The ‘mark of the Church’ we will be looking at this week is baptism. The readings are Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 6:3-5, Titus 3:4-8. Warm regards and blessings,
Pastor Mike. Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, Hobart. Dear members and friends of St Peter’s Lutheran Church, Hobart.

A reminder to you all that this Sunday, 27 March, at 10.00am we will give thanks and celebrate God’s bounteous provision with a Harvest Thanksgiving service, where we will also pray for God’s blessing upon the year ahead. The installation of College staff will also take place at this service. Produce will be set up and displayed at the St Peter’s Centre on Saturday, 26 March, at 10.00am. If you wish to drop produce off, you can do so then. Alternately you can leave it by the sanctuary area in the St Peter’s Centre this Friday (after checking in at the College office) or if unable to do so you can arrive early on the Sunday morning so that there is time to arrange and display it before the service begins. A coffee and cake morning tea will follow the service at which time the produce will also be sold with proceeds going to designated charities. You are invited to bring a cake or slice to share. In joyful thanks, Warm regards and blessings, Pastor Mike. Dear members and friends of St Peter’s Lutheran Church, Hobart.
As mentioned in yesterday’s sermon (the sermon, unafraid to faithfully, thoughtfully and directly address various controversial issues including an alternative to our dead-end society due to the rejection of a transcendent or beyond narrative - metanarrative or big picture - to war and gender dysphoria can be viewed here and starts at around the 23 –24 minute mark), I forward to you the interview with Helena. Here are links both to the interview on Kale and Rod’s show ‘The General Eclectic’ and also to the transcript of her autobiographical article of her transition and detransition, along with an introductory blurb. Be sure to check it out. Please also mark the following on your calendar and join in giving thanks: Harvest thanksgiving and installation of College staff.
