Dear members and friends of St. Peter's, I share this special message from the Australian Lutheran World Service to show the work they are doing this Christmas to improve the lives of so many people worldwide. By sharing the grace of our donations, ALWS has been able to grant opportunities to people who would otherwise be limited by poverty and misfortune. To share with you just what a donation to ALWS can do: 'Adeline in Burundi received a goat through ALWS, along with training in how to raise it. Goats breed twice a year, and kids sell for $40 each. Adeline says: "This is how I paid for my son's school fees and books to send him to university".' From a goat to university. This is just one story of how the work of ALWS and the global ACT Alliance has transformed lives through our help as a Church. If you wish to share grace and shine hope to people around the world in poverty and hardship, consider sending your Gifts of Grace now to those around the world who really need help this Christmas. There are some options below on how to donate and some more info on the work that ALWS does. Blessings, Harrison Steicke. Office Secretary at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, Hobart.
