Dear members and friends of St Peter's, Hobart,
We continue to pray for and think of Bev Kaitinis and her family as they continue to grieve the loss of Tony. They are a warm and supportive family and so Bev is in good hands. Graham Family Funerals (73 Risdon Road, New Town) has a very large capacity and the family would welcome seeing familiar faces. The funeral is this Saturday, 27th of February, at midday. For any who may not know, the Kaitinis family owned and ran the Ice skating rink at Glenorchy and before that Tony and Bev had a grocery store in Glenorchy. For those unable to attend, here is the link for Tony’s funeral. Graham Family funerals forwarded this message: ‘The stream will go live some time shortly before the commencement of the service at 12.00 noon, on Saturday, 27th February 2021. You are able to forward this link to anyone else who wishes to view the service’. The link will also be on our website (later this evening). Being the fourth Sunday, Kids4Christ will be on again this Sunday. They will leave during the first hymn so that all can be back to see Gina Semmler become a member as she is confirmed just before the general prayer (prayer of the Church). The children will be practising a short skit to present as a part of what should be an inspiring College service on Sunday 14th of March during which staff will be installed and the strategic plan launched. Lunch will follow. Our annual AGM and election of officers will occur this Sunday, 28th of February following a short coffee break after the service. Lenten blessings as we contemplate the denials, sacrifices and loving faithfulness of our Lord in which we also participate and though which he has secured for us our forgiveness, salvation and eternal glory. His peace, the deep peace that the world cannot give nor money buy, be with you, as he is truly alive and really present with us. Warm regards and blessings, Pastor Mike Steicke.
